This post is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Research Technician to utilise and develop skills in plant pathology using a range of techniques from lab based molecular biology to glasshouse and field experiments with plants. You will join an established plant pathology team based at the Warwick Crop Centre (School of Life Sciences, University of Warwick Wellesbourne Campus) in a supportive and varied research environment with excellent research facilities. You will work particularly closely with another technician and post doc on two projects; one working on white rot disease of onion (caused by Sclerotium cepivorum) and one on foot rot diseases of pea (caused by Fusarium spp.). To provide technical support to post-doctoral research staff and principal investigators undertaking plant pathology research projects on white rot disease of onion caused by Sclerotium cepivorum and foot rot diseases of pea caused by Fusarium spp.
