The Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry (LAMMC) invites to undertake a PhD in the fields of Agronomy and Forestry. The documents are accepted till 30th August, 2021.

Admission to the Agronomy PhD Program

Documents are accepted from 7 April to 30 August, 2021

Admission requirements:

  • Diploma of master’s degree or qualification adequate to it, its annex/supplement;
  • Notarised translation of the master’s degree diploma and its supplement into the English language;
  • Document recognizing the qualification acquired abroad issued by the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education of Lithuania; more information
  • 2 letters of recommendation;
  • CV;
  • The list of scientific publications (if there are any) and their copies;
  • Copy of ID document.

IMPORTANT – before You apply for the recognition of Your Master diploma, please send us the application to issue the document that You are planning to participate in the competition at LAMMC. We will send the institutional letter to SKVC, but all the rest documents have to be sent by Yourself.

Admission to the Forestry PhD Program

Documents are accepted from 1 June to 27 August, 2021

Admission requirements:

  • Diploma of master’s degree or qualification adequate to it, its annex/supplement;
  • Notarised translation of the master’s degree diploma and its supplement into the English language;
  • Document recognizing the qualification acquired abroad issued by the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education of Lithuania; more information
  • 2 letters of recommendation;
  • CV;
  • The list of scientific publications (if there are any) and their copies;
  • Copy of ID document.

Admission to PhD programmes

Based on LR Minister of Education and Science’s order, in 2011 Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry was granted a right for doctoral studies in 4 science fields:

  • Agronomy and Forestry jointly with Vytautas Magnus University,
  • Ecology and Environmental Science jointly with Vytautas Magnus University,
  • Biochemistry jointly with Vytautas Magnus University and Lithuanian University of Health Sciences.

The doctoral studies provided by Centre conform to the contemporary problematics of agricultural and forestry sciences, up-to-date methods and facilities are used in research work. Studies and research work are headed by experienced researchers. Centre’s researchers of respective fields participate in the development of curricular and their subject programmes, take part in doctoral studies’ committees and thesis defence boards.
