La Caixa” Foundation grants 65 Doctoral INPhINIT fellowships for talented early-stage researchers of any nationality to pursue their PhD studies in Spain or Portugal. The doctoral INPhINIT fellowships offer a highly competitive salary and complementary opportunities for training on transferrable skills through annual training sessions, temporary stays in industry, incentives upon completion of the thesis, among other elements that make these fellowships some of the most attractive and complete in Europe.

This programme is divided into two different frames:

Retaining: Candidates must have resided or have carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Spain/Portugal for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the call deadline.

Incoming: Candidates must not have resided or have carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Spain/Portugal for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the call deadline.

CRAG can host students from both Incoming and Retaining modalities. CRAG offers 9 PhD research projects for developing a PhD under the INPhINIT ”la Caixa” INCOMING Doctoral Fellowship Programme. These projects fall into different disciplines such as Plant biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Genomics and Proteomics, Biochemistry, Biotechnology and Bioinformatics.
