Description: A postdoctoral position funded by a Swiss National Science Foundation Sinergia grant is available in the Hothorn group at the University of Geneva, Switzerland. We would like to attract a plant cell biologist / nutrient physiologist to the lab with an interest in nutrient sensor development. The successful candidate will collaborate with an international team of chemists (Prof. Fiedler, Berlin), image analysis experts (Prof. Menze, Zurich) and yeast biochemists/geneticists (Prof. Panse, Zurich).

Your profile: You have recently defended your PhD or will submit your thesis in the coming month. You have a strong background in plant molecular biology, reverse genetics, in plant cell biology, and ideally in nutrient physiology. You have excellent communication skills and a keen interest in dissecting plant signal transduction cascades. You would like to obtain additional training in image analysis, structural bioinformatics, structural biology and quantitative biochemistry/biophysics.
