Gene editing in the EU: action for Science and Policy

The Alliance for Science of Cornell University together with the support of VIB-IPBO is organising a 3 day training (11/04-14/04/2021) In Ghent during which participants will learn the role, purpose, and components of a strategic advocacy plan to impact the policy environment for gene editing in the EU. The course will help participants understand how to use their scientific knowledge to become more proactive communicators, engage stakeholders, develop, and deploy science-based messages on gene editing.

We are looking for early career and senior level scientists from the EU who want to impact public policies involving technology and agriculture and understand the importance of communicating scientific issues to policymakers and the public. They should be interested in learning about the use of biotechnology in agriculture and be willing to improve their science communication skills and then advocate and communicate about these issues to impact  EU policy decisions.

People interested in this course should fill out the following form https://forms.gle/huij5ffArw5Gq5HX8 by 25th February at the latest.
